Musician.Com Article:- Dean Markley: Signature Series Nickel Steel Electric Strings" by Austin Moca

How to Buy Your First Guitar By Dennis Kambury
Ever since rock 'n' roll became a household word, the guitar hero has ruled supreme. From Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry through Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton, right up to Tom DeLonge and Mark Tremonti, it's the heroic axe-wielder that gets the attention. Now you've decided to join their ranks, and you need some help determining what to look for in a guitar. Well, you've come to the right place! This week, we'll go over some of the basic things you'll want to take into consideration to make the best possible choice...

Guitar Tech Tips: Setting up your guitar By Dennis Kambury
You finally bought that guitar you've been eyeing for a long time. You open the case, gently remove it from its plush cradle, and hold it in your arms. A fresh pick in your fingers, you begin an elegant and complex arpeggio that ranges across the fretboard. Suddenly, right in the middle of the run, the strings start buzzing. You check your technique, and it's fine. So what's the problem...

    Restringing Your Instrument
To ensure solid, non-slip tuning, make sure strings are properly secured at both ends of the tuning machine...

Wood Tone:- What does the type of wood have to do with the sound of a guitar?
There are a number of different materials used in the various parts of a guitar. This week, we'll look at some of the more popular woods found on acoustic and electric guitars, and the tonal qualities these woods lend to the overall sound. Before we get into specifics, though, I should note that any attempt to define the tone of a given wood is general at best. Different cuts of the same species, or even the same tree, will exhibit different characteristics based on the age of the tree, the grain, the moisture content, and how long the wood has been cut. Of course, the design and building of the guitar have a major impact on the tone no matter what wood is used! With that caveat in mind, here's your guide to guitar wood...

Workbench Wisdom: To Drill Or Not To Drill
by Douglas Baldwin One big headache of customized guitar electronics is where to put the controls. Whether you are adding new pickup options on a solid-body electric or installing a saddle pickup and preamp on an acoustic, the dreaded decision of what to cut and where to drill always looms large. "The Care and Feeding of your Acoustic Guitar
    by Martin.
Your guitar is made of thin wood which is easily affected by temperature and humidity. This combination is the most important single part of your guitar's surroundings. Martin keeps the factory at a constant 45-55 percent humidity and 72-77 degrees Fahrenheit. If either humidity or temperature get far away from these factory conditions, your guitar is in danger. A rapid change in temperature or exposure to cold can cause small cracks in the finish...

PH-3 Phase Shifter and AW-3 Dynamic Wah By Peter Swiadon
Can you imagine a world without stomp boxes? Guitarists and bassists would have to create their sounds the old-fashioned way, and it wouldn't be pretty. Stomp box boogie, or how to make the most of your signal chain
I love my distortion pedal - and my chorus, wah, delay, and volume pedal. But getting them all to work together for the best effect and least noise can be a real challenge. This week, we'll talk about how these different types of effects complement each other and how to maximize your signal chain to keep your thrash free of trash...
