There is some cross-over between reed instruments and wind instruments as both are played by using breath or air to produce sound. The difference between the two catagories is due to the use of a 'reed' which vibrates when air is passed across it, whereas wind instruments (which include Brass instruments) are played by using air that is manipulated via tubing and/or holes in the instrument which can be opened and closed using the fingers or special stoppers to change the sound.
This section aims to provide our members and web visitors with information and links to resources, lessons, organisations and educational books for all standards of player. We have concentrated initially on instruments most commonly used in Blues/Rock music but will be expanding each section as time permits.
