The sun was shining on this very windy Sunday Session on 28 August 2011 which started off with the open mic. First up was regular Mark Harris performing Rule The World (Take That) and Whatever Day Or A Month Or A Year (original), followed by Rita Chem singing her original songs Give Love A Try and The Star while the audience settled in for the afternoons entertainment.

At 2pm the band consisting of RoXi (vocals), Martin Ellins (lead guitar), Rick Moxon (rhythm guitar), Phil Plant (bass), Brian Johnson (drums) took the stage along with Tom Moxon their sound engineer who did an excellent job! RoXi and the Blue Cats performance was better than ever, the crowd were bopping and we were delighted they chose this event to launch their new album release! The album is now available to purchase on audio CD or MP3 from Amazon RoXi and the Blue Cats Album at Amazon, CD Baby and iTunes.

In the first break, guest artist singer/songwriter Freya Ridings performed Not Too Late, I Miss You, Shoot The Sun Down. Last year Freya won the BASCA Songwriting Award for 16 and under and is currently attending the BRIT School. In the second break singer/songwriter Jim Dawson took the stage with his acoustic guitar and harmonica, to perform a selection covers songs including Meet Me On The Corner (Lindisfarne), What A Day For A Daydream (Loving Spoonful), Blue Skies (Irving Berlin/Ella Fitzgerald), Act Naturally (Beatles), Norwegian Wood (Beatles), Don't Fence Me In (Roy Rogers/Bing Crosby), Little Ol' Wine Drinker Me (Dean Martin), Nashville Cats (Loving Spoonful), Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da (Beatles).
