Despite the rain dampening our day, the unfazed audience turned up on 10th August 2008 to watch the Sunday Session at Broomfield Park Bandstand in Broomfield Park, Palmers Green. Although the showers were light and sporadic, it was enough to deter anyone from turning up for the open mic section, but the sun finally came out along with a very brisk breeze which didn't deter the die hard Jazz enthusiasts and local families from enjoying the afternoon.

Many turned up by 1.30pm with their brollies, rugs and picnics to watch the latest line up of traditional New Orleans Jazz Band the Bear Cat Crawlers including Robbie Martin on Clarinet, Chris Marchant on Drums, Nick Singer on Banjo and vocals, Roger Sills on Sousaphone, John Whitehead on Cornet and vocals and Johnny Jeanes on Trombone who all looked rather fetching in their snazzy waistcoats!

The flexible line up also brought with them some new numbers in the set like After You've Gone, Dr Jazz and Aching Heart sung by John Whitehead, Careless Love, You Always Hurt The One You Love and Everybody Loves My Baby sung by Nick Singer and instrumental The Bugle Boy March. There were some great solo's played during the course of the set which this excellent band handled with flair and were well received by the audience.

A short video clip from last years music concert with The Bear Cat Crawlers has been included below
quality isn't great but gives a flavour of the wonderful music the band provided on the day
